Pebmarsh Lake

Carp ( Mirror, Common and Crucian ) Roach Rudd, Tench and Bream.

All methods work well here, ledgering is popular for the larger fish although this is a beautiful lake to float fish. Fish are generally evenly spread and don’t forget the margins.

Maggot, caster, bread, corn, worm, paste etc. groundbait limited to 1kg.

24 pegs

The lake is situated in the centre of Pebmarsh village, approximately three miles from Halstead. Access is via the lane opposite the Kings Head public house after approximately half a mile turn right into the car park, and please park on the right hand side. Walk along the left-hand bank past the island, you will find peg one. This is the shallow end of the lake and produces well in the warmer months.

Note the first three pegs on the dam wall are for disabled anglers, any member can fish them, but if a disabled angler turns up and wishes to fish one of them you are obliged to move.

Please fish from marked swims only, failure to comply with this rule will result in cards being confiscated, and may be returned on application to the committee.
